Hi. My name is Mark Rushing and this site is where I will be posting a poem every day.
I became inspired by Jonathan Mann and his Song A Day site, rockcookiebottom.com where he writes and posts a new song every day.
Jonathan has a 10/20/70 theory, where if you create a song every day, 70% of them will be mediocre, 20% will be crap, and 10% will actually turn out good. Judging by his site, this seems true. I have my doubts about poetry, however.
All this is meant to focus me down into the higher, more concentrated stuff. If anyone else happens to find something for themselves along the way, that makes me happy, too.
